Announcement

The recently passed Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) changed the information Taxpayers must provide to claim charitable deductions beginning in 2007. Generally, taxpayers must have a receipt from the charity or a bank record to substantiate any contribution. If you use church envelopes, for cash or checks, you will be able to get a statement from the Church office for 2007 tax filing. Use your envelope weekly and get your full deduction from the IRS!

Easy Electronic Giving

Traditionally, church members give tithes and offerings to the church by placing cash or check into a collection basket during Sunday Mass.

In today’s anytime, anywhere culture, more and more church members are giving tithes with the click of a mouse or automatic draft from online bank accounts.

The trend in e-giving is a cultural move as fewer people carry cash. We live in a plastic, online banking world where growing numbers of people prefer to exchange funds electronically rather than carry a checkbook or cash.

If you already are using online banking for e-statements and bill pay, please consider St. Patrick’s as your payee. Your membership/envelope number is your account number.

If giving during Mass is an act of worship for you, feel free to keep using your envelopes. Place an envelope in the offering basket marked EG (electronic giving).

As an alternative to online banking, we also offer ACH Electronic Giving through an automatic debit from your checking, savings, or credit card accounts.

Through this program, you can contribute to St. Patrick’s Parish General Fund, Parish Improvement Fund, St. Vincent de Paul / Catholic Charities Fund and/or any specified by you church ministry.

It ensures your favorite ministry receives uninterrupted funding throughout the year, and it saves the church money by reducing transaction fees and envelope costs.

To enroll, please click here to download an authorization form, call the Church office at 209-383-3924, or  email us at info@olmstpatrick.org.

Prayerfully consider this as an option when making your ongoing contribution and continue to participate in the church stewardship.
