Welcome. St. Patrick's Parish is a warm, welcoming Catholic faith
community that cherishes its past and looks with hope to the
future.
Inspired by the example of St. Patrick, we strive to make God's
Word come alive through our
celebration of the Eucharist and
through service and generosity to each
other
and our community.
It is always a pleasure for us to see new people
joining our spiritual family. We hope that you will let us know
how we can be of service to you and how you might be able to
help us spread the good news of the Gospel.
Since our
beginnings, we encourage an attitude of ownership and
responsibility so that each one of us will feel like a
participant, rather than an observer or spectator.
We invite you to
stop by the Parish Office any weekday between 7:30 am and 4:30
pm for more information about our parish.

His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI has named and appointed His Excellency
Bishop Armando X. Ochoa as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno.

Bishop Ochoa comes to us from the Diocese of El Paso, Texas. We give thanks to God, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Patroness, St. Therese, for the answered prayers and for God’s graciousness in giving us a new Shepherd.
A date for the Installation of Bishop Ochoa, as the Fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno, has yet to be scheduled.
Let us keep Bishop Ochoa in our prayers during this busy time of transition from the Diocese of El Paso to our Diocese of Fresno.
As we begin the joyful season of Advent, let us give praise and thanks to God for the appointment of His Excellency Armando Xavier Ochoa, the new Bishop of the Diocese of Fresno and our Shepherd!

What Will Be Happening with the Prayers at Mass?
On the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011, Catholic parishes in the United States will begin praying the texts of the Mass using a new English translation of The Roman Missal. The Roman Missal is the large book that we are accustomed to seeing the priest use at our Eucharistic liturgies. It contains the official prayers of the Mass. In the early part of this century, the late Blessed Pope John Paul II called for the original Latin Missal (the official prayer book for Mass for the entire Catholic Church worldwide) to be re-translated into the various languages prayed throughout the world. He and other Church leaders felt that our current English translation could be improved. He called for new translations that would be much more faithful to the original Latin texts, so that all Catholics throughout the world would become more closely united by praying translations that were closer to the original. The words that we pray at Mass express our beliefs; it is important that the translations capture and express these beliefs clearly. The translation process has come to a culmination now, and on the First Sunday of Advent we will begin using this new translation at Mass

Register at our Parish. The Code of Canon Law states,
"A parish is a definite community of the Christian faithful established on a stable basis within a particular Church;
the pastoral care of the parish is entrusted to a pastor as its own shepherd under the authority of the diocesan bishop" (No. 515).
Even if a bishop determines that the pastoral care of a parish or parishes is entrusted to a team of several priests,
one priest should direct the activity and be responsible to the bishop. Likewise, in the case of the death of a pastor
or when no resident pastor can be appointed, the bishop must still appoint a priest with the powers and faculties
of a pastor to ensure the pastoral care of the faithful (No. 517)
